MURPHY'S LIVE 2007 WINNERS Ilya K are a 4 piece alternative rock group. They were without doubt one of the highlights of this years Tradfest when they took to the stage with Mick O' Reilly to support the Frank & Walters. Ilya K's songs are based on a performance that have deemed them one of the most exciting live bands in Ireland.

Mike Got Spiked: Mike got spiked are a true embodiment of how hard work can win you thousands of fans. Formed in late 2002, mike got spiked's incendiary live shows quickly gained them notoriety around Dublin, and the four-piece cemented their reputation as one of the finest hard rock acts in the country. The release of their debut album, Caveat Emptor, recorded with American producer Peter Slankster and legendary engineer Eddy Schreyer (Alice in Chains, Korn, System of a Down and At The Drive-In) saw MGS trekk to every end of the country in support of the album. They have since been rewarded with high-profile support slots with the likes of Anthrax, Biffy Clyro, Thrice, The Offspring and Dillinger Escape Plan, and were the only Irish representative in the prestigious Vans Warped Tour, Canada. they have since gone on to fill Dublin's 500- capacity Temple Bar Music Centre for their own headline launch gig - some feat for a band that was then unsigned. Now that the group intend on becoming full-time musicians, exciting times await both at home and abroad for mike got spiked.
