You dont grow them unless you have really curly hair or your hair is manky.Twist them and backcomb from the tip.Once again i wouldnt do it.Wrecks your gruaige,trust me.

like you have to ask...

re dreads: one option for growing them out is to plait (or something) the loose hairs as you go to have a reservoir of normal hair. but any way you let the dreads grow out will end up with you having dreads hanging from normal hair and you'll have to keep brushing out the roots of the dread to stop them tangling, long painful process.

not that i tried this, i let mine grow out a little then chopped the lot and made do with the 2-3 cm of hair remaining (actually I went all the way home to let my mother cut them off, after 5 years of putting up with them she deserved it).
