DIGITAL CIRCUS - AN INTRODUCTION

DIGITAL CIRCUS aka The Brothers Flynn Ronán & Colin aka THE FLYNN BROTHERS FLYING CIRCUS have been making music and gigging together for almost two years and in this short space of time have established themselves as ones to watch on the Irish scene, largely due to their melodic, synth fueled brand of music coupled with their energetic live show...

Musically its difficult to put a finger on their sound but think Vince Clarke, Metro Area, Tiefschwarz, Basement Jaxx, Silver City, Rick James, Mr Flaggio, Gary Numan, Daft Punk, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, Spirit Catcher, Patrick Cowley & Giorgio Moroder, M&G all thrown into a dancefloor friendly whirlwind of disco-funk-synthdriven-house&techno and you'll get an idea of what they're about, well kind of!

Performing live is an essential part of the DIGITAL CIRCUS project and for the live shows both Colin & Ronán are joined by James 'Fonze'Griffin on Bass and Bingo Bango Bongo (John) on Percussion. The DIGITAL CIRCUS live show has taken the band all over Ireland including The Electric Picnic ('06 and '07), Lovebox Festival, Crawdaddy, Sugar Club, The Music
Factory - Carlow, Your Festival - Offaly, Trinity Rooms - Limerick, The Underground, Wax, Dalkey Arts Festival, Red Room - Cork, Rogue, The Village, Cleeres Theatre - Kilkenny, Inisfox Island Festival, Tripod, Spirit (which was broadcast live on Spin FM), Tivoli Theatre, Ri Ra and many more...Expect the unexpected when the Circus rolls into town with its assortment of live Keys, Vox, EFX, Bass, Cowbells & Percussion to get the party started! Bring on the funk!

Karma Parking

Karma Parking are Julien Fiasson (guitars, vox), Damien Bartle (guitars, vox),

Jonothan Skinner (drums, Percusion), Ed Forde (Bass).They have been together

for nearly a decade honing a roots oriented style that draws heavily from Reggae,

Ska, Funk and Blues to mention a few. They extract usually the bouncier, jucier

dance inducing strands from these styles resulting in boisterus audiences who

can't help themselves from dancing. Karmaparking have recently finished recording

their second album in Philladelphia with grammy nominated producer Jim Salamone.

THE BAND: Gary Reddy – guitar/vocals; Ewen Ferguson Denny – keyboards; Mick Reddy – bass; Graham Carey – drums


THE PAST: Named after a character in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, Baby Jenx have been together since the summer of 2005. Influenced by the big stadium sounds of U2, Radiohead and Muse, but with their own musical aesthetic firmly to the fore, they played their debut gig in legendary Dublin venue Mother Redcaps later that same year.

Over the following months, Baby Jenx honed their live skills with a multitude of gigs. Their sparkling shows at the Irish IMRO showcase, Boston's NEMO Music Festival and Castlepalooza earned them rave reviews.

They recorded their first demo with producer Declan Lonergan in Bluebird Studios in Co. Kildare. This demo received extensive radio airplay, and was immediately chosen as Hot Press magazine's 'Demo of the Fortnight' by none other than Jackie Hayden.

THE FUTURE: Baby Jenx are currently in studio recording their debut album proper. Entitled “Trial By Fire” it will be released early 2009.
