DI box (1 Viewer)

A DI box converts an unbalanced, high impedance signal (the kind of signal generated by most pickups and contact mics) into a balanced, low impedance signal (the kind of signal required by most desks). It also isolates the output signal from the input signal (and most also incorporate an earth lift facility), so it can be used - as a temporary measure in an emergency - to cure ground loop problems in other parts of the signal chain (e.g. between desk and power amplifier).

Frona for bass get one of these laddies (E222 on thomann). they are great-Not just a DI, also a pre-amp and modeller so you can get a pretty decent sound going straight into a PA and don't have to lug gear around .|..| you will get as decent if not better sound than out of a bass combo or playing an amp you are not familiar with

Thank you kind sirs. Dudley, I read pretty much that same thing off a Boss flyer and I am still none the wiser. Tommy, I might just do that.
