Is there any way to retrieve data deleted from a usb key by accident???

Try recuva.com
That's worked for me in the past. You may not get all your stuff back though.

didn't know you could do that. might just stick with the tried-and-true method of not deleting my important files though.
and keeping versions of them on every available hard drive and data storage device so i can never remember which one i've been working on.
