Hi There
Our new series, Deis Roc begins Monday 17th April @ 10pm on TG4.

The bands to be featured on the 1st show are:

Civilian (Derry)
Waif (Dublin)

Over the next 6 weeks we will be faturing 12 local/independent/unsigned bands from all over Ireland.

The monday shows will be repeated on fridays at 6.30pm (tg4)

We hope you will tune in and enjoy

saw this, my mother was watching it and kept calling me to see the bands. Thought the format was pretty good and studio looked nice but didn't think much of the first 2 bands to be honest. Nothing wrong per say but just a bit meh.

Deis Roc Verdict for me: More good than bad

this was our (Tobar Productions) first major series for primetime television
and we are pleased with what we have produced with the budget we had.

I suppose the music is a matter of taste, but we are working with a completely new format here, give us a chance!

show 1 will be repeated on Friday at 6.30pm (TG4) for anyone who missed it and is interested.

Deis Roc will run for another 6 weeks. The final monday will see the live final being broadcast LIVE from Belfast.

I think the format was good and the novelty of seeing that sorta music sung as gaeilge was great but the bands were a bit blah.
