"D.R.I. (aka Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) were one of the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal, along with Suicidal Tendencies and Corrosion of Conformity. Starting off as a speedy, straight-ahead punk band, they gradually mixed more elements of heavy metal into their sound; as they did so, their songs got longer and featured more sections and more variety in tempo. D.R.I. managed the then-rare feat of crossing over to metal audiences while retaining their skatepunk and hardcore fan bases -- they had something for all those audiences to love (or hate). Now D.R.I. come to Dublin on June 13th in The Grand Social! This is not one to miss!"

Moose this is old hat, they were in a christian hardcore band when they were 16, early 30's now and the singer has said time and time again he's not a jesus freak anymore. I remember having the same argument last time they played here and posting several links to interviews. DRI are deadly, pity its on the same night but im sure it couldnt be helped.
