SUPPORT D.I.Y. MENTALITY - SUPPORT HARDCORE / PUNK

New records at Crucial Attack webstore

Atlas Losing Grip - Watching the Horizon - MCD - The Shield Record - 5.90 Euro
Early 2009 Atlas Losing Grip decided that it was better to add a lead singer to the band. They found their singer in Rodrigo Alfaro whom you might know from bands such as Satanic Surfers and Enemy Alliance.

In this lineup Atlas Losing Grip recorded 5 brand new songs, which The Shield Records released as the "Watching the horizon MCD". The sound of Atlas Losing Grip has slightly changed, but only for the better.

The Bristles - No Future In The Past, Part 1. - LP - Noise And Distortion Records - 9.90 Euro
The Bristles is a raw punk band from Landskrona, in the south of Sweden. The Bristles were formed in 1982, after the towns ship yard shut down. Alongside bands like Asta Kask, Existenz, Moderat Likvidation, Noncens, Eater, Anti Cimex and many others were the Bristles the new breed of new fast bands that released mostly singles in this period, and did a lot of gigging.

The music and the lyrics were written from the back side of the 80s yuppie century; the sell out of the public recourses to the private, mass unemployment, the holding back the wages, dismantling of social security, which ended in the welfare states death. The Bristles split up in 1985. In 1998 they played a one-off reunion gig at Bolln’s-punken with a stand-in drummer.

The Bristles reformed in 2008, when the welfare state only is a memory. The music and the lyrics are still written from the back side
of the post welfare state after the 90s steel bath; increased class distinctions, increased number of poor, the concentration of wealth,
racism and crime. Influences: Sex Pistols, Clash, Exploited, Dead Kennedys, Motorhead, GBH.

The Fake Boys - This Is Where Our Songs Live - CD - The Shield Records - 9.90 Euro
The third new release is the debut full length from The Fake Boys. The Fake Boys are a punk rock trio out of Merrimack valley, Massachusetts (USA) that started out in 2007. In their brief history they already released 2 MCD's and 2 split 7 inches (with Frogball and Arms Loft). The Fake Boys music draws influences from bands as Descendents, Jawbreaker, Husker Du etc.The new album is called "This is where our songs live" and contains 12 brand new punk rock songs from The Fake Boys.

Funeral Oration - The Godsend - LP - Neder Again Records - 9.90 Euro
Original released as cassette tape in 1984. Funeral Oration was a melodic hardcore punk band from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. They were active from 1983 until the end of the 1990s, putting out highly influential records on Dutch, German, British and American labels. They managed to create their own unique sound, mainly due to the unmistakable vocal style of the singer Peter Zirschky.

Greyline - Behind The Masquerade - LP - Blackdeath Records - 9.90 Euro
Greyline is a profound Dutch metal band. The last couple of years the band intensively toured through Europe while not forgetting to astonish their home crowd. Greyline was invited to the well known Waldrock and Eurosonic festivals, and shared stages with bands like Slayer, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge and Textures. This success comes with a strong new album, entitled |Behind The Masquerade|.

Last year the band took their time to write and record nine dark, intensive, and heavy songs, injected with a doses of addictive rock melodies. Behind the scenes Greyline is working hard to release their highly anticipated upcoming album and expanding their ever-growing fan
base.Supported by a group of professionals in the music industry, Greyline takes their music and live shows to a higher level.

Insane - Trust these hands..Are Worthless - CD - The Shield Records - 9.90 Euro
The second new release is the brand new album from Slovenian finest punkrock band Insane. Insane has been around for quite some time now, they started out more than 10 years ago and have toured Europe many times now. So it's more than possible you've heard or saw them somewhere in Europe.

Insane's new album is entitled "Thrust these hands . . . are worthless" and contains 11 brand new tracks which are the best Insane songs till this date! Expect hardcore with a punky twist that the bandmembers themselves call Heartcore. Judge for yourselves by listening the preview song.

Kulturkampf - Caught In An Evil Web Of Violence - LP - Looney Tunes Records - 9.90 Euro
Early 80s punk band from the UK. They released only two tapes "The Corpse of Bureaucracy" and "The Struggle".

Liferide - Self Titled - LP - Take It Back Records - 9.90 Euro
Even though they knew that their old band SOLID GROUND was about to break up soon, Roman and Martin kept writing new songs. However they wanted to go into a different direction than they took with SOLID GROUND! The two wanted to have a more 80s crossover sound than their other new band ANIMAL INSTINCT has. That's why they wrote five new songs that will eventually become the self-titled LIFERIDE debut 12".

LIFERIDE started out as an idea between Roman and Martin with absolutely no clue who could complete the band's line up. While they were on SOLID GROUND's farewell tour in the fall of 2008, the two kept arguing who could take over LIFERIDE's vocal duties. The last
show of the tour was in Belgium together with their friends of STATE OF MIND. And suddenly it was all very clear, and it took them only about two minutes to convince Emile of STATE OF MIND to join LIFERIDE! Mission accomplished.

Back in Switzerland, Martin and Roman started to finish up writing and recording the songs they had started. They sent music files back and forth with Emile until they exactly had what they wanted: five songs with a different sound than their previous / other bands, and with a different approach on hardcore.

Night Fever - New Blood - LP - Adult Crash Records - 9.90 Euro
8 track 12" E.P. by K-Town hardcore's NIGHT FEVER! Fuck yeah. Super catchy hardcore punk drawing on influences from early Poison Idea, Japanese Burning Spirits and some mid/late 80ies US Youth Crew hardcore - all put through the K-Town HC blender and spat out with a ton of bile! Cover art by B. Kiss.

Otis - Storm Is Coming - CD - Blackdeath Records - 8.90 Euro
Otis consists of 5 guys who have been in bands like Stockholm Syndrome and Against Time together for years. The band was founded at
the end of 2005 and played its first show in 2006. So far they did shows all over Holland, Belgium, France and Spain together with bands
such as Coalesce, Nomeansno, Torche, NRA, Rise And Fall, Jello Biafra, Coliseum, Restless Youth, Born From Pain and Baroness.

In 2006 they released a split 10" with Daily Fire and in 2007 their debut album Good Cop Bad Mood saw the light of day. This record was well received by the press, comparing Otis to Helmet, Snapcase, At The Drive-In, Refused, Fugazi, Hot Water Music, The Melvins and Black Flag. In June 2009 a limited split tape with The Unborn was released, followed by their second album Storm Is Coming a month later. This album is the first installment in a trilogy of albums based on poems by Arthur Rimbaud. The leitmotiv in this part is his poem Le Bateau Ivre from 1871. Again, the press was very positive: next to the comparisons drawn when Good Cop Bad Mood came out, this time they also spoke of Unsane, Botch, Drive Like Jehu, Minutemen, Dag Nasty en Breach. The 11 minute closing piece reminisced of acts like Zu, The Ex, John Zorn and Sonic Youth.

Sand Creek Massacre - Years Of Decay - Split LP - 9.90 Euro
Sand Creek Massacre and Years of Decay bring d-beat and crust to the max on this 12|. Beautiful cover and excellent songs makes this release something out of the ordinary. It looks the part, it sound the part and it should be in your record collection.

Skitkids - Onna For Pleasure - LP - Adult Crash Records - 9.90 Euro
Repress of their 2nd release. This Scandinavian powerhouse has a definite sense of humour combined with brutal Swedish hc meets early 90s Japanese hc. Cool stuff! Expect blazing hardcore punk from Malmo, Sweden. Think Totalitar meets Motorhead with a touch of the
Burning Japanese Spirit.

This Routine is Hell - The Verve Crusade - LP/CD - The Shield Records - 9.90 Euro
This Routine is Hell is around since the fall of 2006 and is a hardcore punk band inspired by the likes of Minor Threat, Ceremony, Paint it Black and Panic: Fast, Energetic and Sincere. |The Verve Crusade| is This Routine is Hell's debut album after releasing a split CD with Sandbox Rebellion. |The Verve Crusade| contains eleven brand new This Routine is Hell Songs. 7" EP's

Deal With It / New Morality - Split - 7" EP - Demons Run Amok Records - 4.50 Euro
DRA is proud to release the European press of the NEW MORALITY and DEAL WITH IT split 7", which will be ready for the tour with New Morality and Cornered in January 2nd!

NEW MORALITY are from The Netherlands and formed late 2004 by a bunch of friends with the same hardcore mindset: pure anarchy. In the past years, they've self released a demo, compilations, an MCD, a split 7" and a Full Length on Reflections, played various shows all over Europe and the band pretty much booked all of those shows by themselves.NEW MORALITY combines the heaviness of New York's Breakdown with the hardcore soul of Crown of Thornz, but somehow always stuck to their musical roots and kept that punk attitude in their sound.

DEAL WITH IT creates a burst of hugely aggressive nihilism and contempt, taking a leaf from such bands as Cro Mags, Judge and No Warning, but creating a sound all of their own which bleeds with malice and negative intentions. They had toured with the likes of Terror, Down to Nothing, Outbreak, Cold World and Blacklisted, as well as a headlining European tour under their belt.

Fy Fan - Ah Nej - 7" EP - Adult Crash Records - 4.25 Euro
Fy Fan are an awesome hardcore punk band from Sweden and this is their latest EP...seven tracks so good that upon first listen I ended up spinning this thing 7 times over. But don't take my word for it, check this out for sure. Enjoy.

The Gaggers - Fix Me Up - 7" EP - No Front Teeth Records - 3.90 Euro
This is the debut 7" from London's Gaggers. Snotty and raw punk rock that blends the early US/UK styles of the Pagans, Sex Pistols, Dead Boys and the Jabbers featuring members of the Disco Lepers, The Hateful, Botox Rats and the Blowouts. This is punk as punk should be raw and stripped-down, this is two-fingers-down-your-throat punk rock and it's hocking up some wonderfully gross shit.

Rise And Fall - Demo 2003 - 7" EP - Control Records - 4.50 Euro
Rise And Fall has come a long way since the release of their demo in 2003. The band that was originally just going to be a bunch of friends from different bands getting together and jamming on some heavy hardcore quickly got out of hand. Looking back in 2010, Rise And Fall have released 3 albums, the last 2 ("Into Oblivion" and "Our Circle Is Vicious") on the renowned and well respected Deathwish label.

Throughout the years they've made a name for themselves by writing relentlessly heavy, layered and metallic hardcore. Next to that the band has done countless European and American tours, and they even made it to Australia not so long ago. This is where it all started though. The 2003 Demo contains the very first 4 songs Rise And Fall ever wrote, in their practice space which at the time was a spare room in guitarist F-Double's house. When Rise And Fall began practicing in the summer of 2002 the line up was: F-Double on guitar,
Murph on drums, Vince on bass and Bjorn singing. After a couple of months AK joined as a second guitarist, making their sound heavier and beefier. It was at AK's homestudio ("The Spaceshuttle Compound") that these 4 songs were recorded in February 2003.

A little later Rise And Fall got asked to play their first show. The show was in Ghent, with Dead Stop on March 19th. This was where and when the demo was originally released. When the band has run out of their 100 or so copies of the demo, Discontent Records from Holland offered to press another 100. Those sold out quick too and Rise And Fall soon started working on their next release. A few line up changes followed, with F-Double and AK leaving the band, Cedric joining instead and then recording their debut album "Hellmouth". The rest of the story is common knowledge or at least, easy to find. Control Records is excited to present Rise And Fall's 2003 Demo, pressed onto vinyl, with a whole new lay out and extra liner notes by the band.

Smart Cops - Cominciare A Vivere - 7" EP - Adult Crash Records - 4.25 Euro
Second EP by Italy's Smart Cops, and if you loved their first EP as much as I did, you'll be pleased to know they've only gotten better at their concoction of garage-y punk and 80-style hardcore. On this 7", Italy's Smart Cops play more fast, yet garage-influenced, punk rock from guys who did time in La Piovra and Ohuzaru, bringing to mind Career Suicide, The Regulations and Government Warning. Even better, this time they've given us a concept record about a cop who finds "himself" by becoming addicted to heroin!
