"To all our friends, all the great bands that played the Crowbar over the last five years and to those who have missed this post before..
We have just been fined 1250 euro by the city of Groningen for having live music in our pub. This happened on Wednesday the 25th of September during a semi acoustic gig of The Dinosaur Truckers at 20.30 hours!! We have been a live music venue for over 5 years now and have never had any problems before. We have tried our best to insulate and stayed in good touch with the neighbors. And we would like to continue being an asset to the live music scene in the city of Groningen. Unfortunately Groningen as a vibrant city chooses to die slowly. If there is anybody that can help us out legally or knows anybody at the city council that might be on our side, all help is appreciated!! Also, we have just been informed that a second fine of 1250 euros is on the way. Yes, it surely must be so annoying to the city to have two hours of live music every one or two weeks in a pub!! Thank you!!"
