he's been doing it for years with his caricatures of various politicians -- i think he used to do it whenever he drew dick spring, and a couple of others as well. i don't know whether it means that they're actually smokers or not.

I always thought it meant they were half arsed imbeciles.. they're obviously not though, if they have us educated folk by the short and curlies.

herself knows someone who was sitting at home the other day and a card dropped through the letterbox - an 'i called and i'm sorry i missed you' card, from bertie (canvassing for cyprian brady, i assume). there had been no knock on the door. so he ran out and there were two guys (not even FFers, just delivery guys) dropping them through letterboxes.
