AU MAGAZINE TEAMS UP WITH MILLER GENUINE DRAFT TO DELIVER A NEW LIVE EXPERIENCE
Club AU in association with Miller Genuine Draft is a new monthly live music club night featuring the best in Irish bands, artists and DJs presented by AU Magazine in association with Miller Genuine Draft. Each month, a combination of the hottest Irish bands, both north and south will take to the stage of Lavery’s Attic. There has never been a better time for music in Ireland, and the two main strongholds of Belfast and Dublin both boast extremely healthy scenes. The goal of Club AU is to build bridges across Ireland and to bring the best in music to new audiences.
‘THE NEW IRISH NOISE’
Like a rash of magic rock mushrooms, innovative bands are cropping up all over Ireland; ready to save us all from the slick emotion of interchangeable 4/4 indie-pop. Provocative, experimental and exhilarating, the New Irish Noise is the terrifying roar of the new breed. Here AU have teamed up with Miller Genuine Draft to bring together a lineup featuring three of the brightest prospects to have emerged in recent times.
WE ARE KNIVES
Intricacy and imagination are the chief weapons in the arsenal of We Are Knives. Unleashing wave after wave of crushing rhythms and chasing-their-own-tail riffs, the three-piece’s combination of mathematical precision and creative cunning prove utterly irresistible. Little wonder they have been proclaimed the “big daddies” of the New Irish Noise.

ADEBISI SHANK
The Wexford spawned trio have won many plaudits for their blistering This Is The EP Of A Band Called Adebisi Shank but it is as a live entity that they are most awing. In performance Adebisi Shank are a thing of beauty and violence, treating the audience to a barrage of ear-shredding guitar riffs, pounding percussion and sheer brain-dashing power.

AND SO I WATCH YOU FROM AFAR
ASIWYFA never fail to deliver. The sledgehammer assault of the This Is Our Machine And Nothing Can Stop It mini-album has raised expectations of their forthcoming full-length to fever pitch. Pummeling with fistfuls of melody and abrasion alike, they are one of the most committed and fearsome musical acts in Ireland. Make sure you are present to witness them deliver a masterclass in musical chaos theory.
