DUBLIN PRODUCER CHYMERA RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM: "EVERYBODY DIES… EVEN
HORSES"
===================================================================
Artist: Chymera
Title: Everybody Dies… Even Horses
Released on: Iterate
Format: CD Album
Irish Release date: 7th May 2005

THE LOWDOWN:
Dublin based electronic music producer Brendan Gregoriy, aka Chymera,
releases his debut album on his own newly founded imprint, Iterate
Recordings. Gathering together the most organic tracks in the Chymera
repertoire, he has created an album with both home listening and
dancefloor sensibilities in mind, while ultimately maintaining a
solid flow from beginning to end.
These twelve tracks blend intricate melodic patterns, subtle string
arrangements, and delicate rhythms into a melting pot of downbeat,
electro, and deep techno, with a hint of alternative rock and a
definite nod towards Detroit.
The album builds, bubbles and meanders from the opening rhythms and
subtle melodies of Empire, through to the upbeat shuffles of My Love
and Chamber Zen, pausing on the grandiose Silencio and reflective
Moment in Time and climaxing with the intense rhythms of Gone, a
refrain of Empire, bringing the album full circle to its natural
conclusion.
Chymera's debut 12" Vinyl single, entitled Icicle/Xe, was released on
Invisible Agent Records in February 2005. It garnered excellent
reviews from DJ Mag (receiving the sureplayer accolade), Hot Press
and Anorak. He has had a track included on the Eire Electronic
compilation. (March 2005). Also two tracks featuring here on
Everybody Die…, Even Horses have previously been included on both
DEAF festival compilations (Melodrama on the DEAF 2003 CD, and
Strange Day on the DEAF 2004 download compilation). Chymera is
gaining momentum on the Dublin Live Circuit too; his energetic sets
have seen him support The Advent, Miss Kittin, Funk D' Void, Marco
Passarani, Transparent Sound and John Selway over the past year and
half.
