DJ Flip/ Prozack Turner (Bangathon Tour) Support Rob Kelly
Friday 21st April / Ri Ra / Doors 11.30pm / Tickets 5e B4 12

Dublin-based DJ Flip is hitting the road with Irish MC Rob Kelly this April to promote the latest offering from Foreign Legion's Prozack Turner. Front man of critically acclaimed California hip hop group Foreign Legion, Turner steps to the plate in his first solo album on independent label Hungerstrike Records. Originally signed to Dreamworks records in 2002, Turner has recorded with Pete Rock, Madlib, Organized Noize, The Alchemist and Jay Dilla (R.I.P.) among others to create a soulful journey, entitled "Death, Taxes and Prozack", which has been bootlegged though never released due to the labels demise shortly after completion. This should be a slammer of a show - Flip is known to be in extra-fine form when the Foreign Legion lads are anywhere near so we're expecting a great show from this duo.

The Rebirth ~ 7 Piece Soul Band from L.A
Friday 21st April / Trinity Rooms, Limerick / Doors TBC
Saturday 22nd April / Crawdaddy, Dublin / Doors 8pm, Afterparty in Pogo! / Tickets 20e.

Carlos Guaico and the crew are back for another live show. They have a new track 'Sum Same' included on the recently released Kajmere EP and another on the forthcoming Reworked 5 - which will have them rework another classic in their own signature style. The Rebirth were named band of the year by www.soultracks.com and received LP of the year 2005 from the UK's number one soul retailer Soulbrother Records in London. This show will be an early one followed by an afterparty in Pogo! in The Lobby Bar. Anyone in the Limerick area on the Friday will have a chance to check them out in The Trinity Rooms on Friday 21st April.

Mad Professor
The Mad Professor Soundsystem with Special Guests on Vocals
Friday 28th April / Crawdaddy / Doors 11.30pm / Tickets 20e

A true legend. The imaginative recordings produced by Mad Professor (born Neil Fraser 1955, Georgetown in Guyana) demonstrate a mastery of electronic gadgetry. Working from his own studios, Mad Professor has overseen more than two hundred albums including groundbreaking remixes for Massive Attack, Sade, and Pato Banton. Born in Guyana, Fraser earned the Mad Professor tag from his childhood fascination with electronics. At the age of nine or ten he built a radio from scratch. Moving to London at the age of thirteen, Mad Professor continued to experiment with electronics. He bought a semi-professional reel-to-reel tape-recorder in 1975, but was unable to record in sync. This prompted him to purchase more and more equipment. As the years passed he made a name for himself as a highly skilled producer and remix artist and gained international respect from many musicians across pretty much all the genres of music. The Mad Professor will be performing in the intimate surroundings of Crawdaddy in Dublin with all his technical gadgetry as well as live instrumentation and a troupe of backing singers.

Kool Keith Is Back
Dr.Octagon Returns to Dublin!
Bank Holiday Sunday April 30th / Crawdaddy / Doors 11.30pm / Tickets 22.50e

Keith is about to drop his new single Digital Engineering pretty soon from the exclusive Project Polaroid LP (on Threshold Records). This will be a Bank Holiday Sunday late show special - Kool Keith is probably the most prolific MC of all time having released records under many guises and incarnations but one thing is for sure : no one has a style like his. Keith’s last performance at DEAF was one of the most talked about gigs of 2005.

Q-Bert Confirmed for May!
QFO Showcase & Aftershow Funk Breaks Set by Q-Bert Himself
Friday 26th May / Temple Bar Music Centre / Late Show 11pm

It’s been almost two and a half years since Q-Bert has played Dublin. Anytime he has played it has been a phenomenal showcase of skills. This coming May we have him coming over to perform a scratch showcase and to cut up funk breaks on Technics 1200's - something which is rare to see live from Q-Bert as he's obviously more known for his scratching skills. This should be the deejay gig of 2006 without a shadow of a doubt. Details are still to be confirmed but expect an exciting showcase of support acts for this event.
