Cut Chemist CDs have been sent out to the winners from the last two mailouts, sorry for delay.
The website has been updated with new podcasts, video, music and gig
listings. August Bank Holiday is coming up and if your hanging around
town for the weekend then Keb Darge in RiRa is a must-see on Sunday.
The Godfather of the Deep Funk movement will come with 45s/acetates
and will hurl abuse at anyone asking for Beyonce - only 5 euro before
12. Friday week we are very excited to have Freddie Cruger over,
Sweden's hardest working producer is about to launch a huge LP with
Soul Search. Expect top notch hip hop soul funk reggae & disco served
up the way it should be. People Under The Stairs, Edan, Nicole Willis,
Giant Panda, Qool DJ Marv are all confirmed, so read on and check the
site for the updates.... By the way, thanks to all that came along to

World reknowned funk 45 collector Keb Darge returns to Dublin for an
exclusive show put on by the All-City Records crew next Sunday in
RiRa.
Check out this great interview with Keb to find out a little more
about this hardworking DJ who has been spinning heavy funk and
northern soul records for almost 30 years. That's longer than
a lot of us have been alive so you know he's got the knowledge!

Freddie Cruger (GAMM/Jugglin')
RiRa, Friday August 11th 2006
Sweden's multi-talented producer and DJ will be coming to Ireland
for a DJ set to tie in with the launch of his new LP Soul Search
which will be coming out on Tru Thoughts this side of the pond with
Ubiquity looking after the release on the other. We have had the LP
for the last couple of months and its excellent. Loads of
collaborations highlighting Freddie's varied styles. Check out some
of Freddie's singles on the website as well. Only €5 before 12
and a must see for fans of Mad Mats, Gamm Records and quality music.
Upstairs is being held down by Johnny Boyle of Road Records.

Festival of World Cultures, Thursday 24th - Sunday 27th August 2006,
Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
This festival is now moving into its sixth year and is honoured to
have artists from over 50 countries taking part in this year’s
exciting event that aims to build a positive response to integration,
nurturing respect and understanding through the arts. As in previous
years the picturesque coastal town of Dún Laoghaire will be
transformed as artists and audiences alike - a staggering 200,000 in
2005 - descend on the town for 3 days of cultural celebration. There

Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators
Spiegeltent, Saturday 16th September
This is going to be a huge show. Ten piece band The Soul
Investigators will provide the music for one of our favourite soul
singers Nicole Willis. She has collaborated with Leftfield, Jimi
Tenor, NuSpirit Helsinki and delivered the best soul LP of last year
in our opinion: Keep Reachin' Up on Timmion Records. The Helsinki
based band and New York diva are going to bring the house down and we

Everyone's favourite funky whiteboy is coming to Dublin for an
exclusive live show with Dagha, Andrew Thompson and a Robot (you read
correctly).
Edan has been heralded as a breath of fresh air on the hip-hop scene
and will appeal to fans of Big Daddy Kane as much as Buck 65. His
Beauty & The Beat LP received rave reviews, check him out on Cut
Chemist's new album 'The Audience's Listening'. His live show is
unreal - this is going to be a special night indeed...

Qool DJ Marv back again!
RiRa Friday October 13th, 11.30pm
Marv is touring Ireland once again this week (Wicked Chicken, Savoy,
Cuba) but we have decided to put him on in October. Qool DJ Marv is a
must see. He brought the house down last time he played and we really
enjoyed having him over so we're glad to say he'll be rocking the
basement in RiRa on October 13th yet again. check www.buttamilk.net

Everyone's favorite crate-diggers are back in Dublin once again to
rock one of their patented breaks-filled live shows with Giant Panda
close behind to keep things rolling. Thes One and Double K are
currently touring on their excellent 4th full length 'The Stepfather'
out on Tres Records and we should have some nice audio up online for
you soon. Stay tuned for more details as they progress...
