A fully pressed up tape with cover and even with on tape printing shouldn't be any more than €3 or €4 euros, €5 posted worldwide. One of the major reasons for using tape is that it's cheap. Charging €8 for it kinda negates that.

Then you shouldn't really be putting out a tape then, it rather does limit your audience and potential to maximize profits.

I think you are being a bit unfair. The basic dynamics of a record label (or any other business for that matter) are that you need to make something over costs to be able to put out the next release and also to give the artist royalties.
