the factory actually looks like a *proper* Wonka factory.

and note the boat. it looks a lot more true to the book than the vessel in the last film.

Its not a remake, its a reTAKE... the first film took a good few liberties with the book (which didnt have songs in it, you'll be surprised to hear ) and the umpa-loompas were little brown pygmie men or something. so its gonna be tim burtons take on the book, not the first film.

There was way way way way tooo much singing in the film.
Not big on musicals me.

Fuck that, Gene Wilder is a fuckin incredible actor and at the very most Johnny Depp could only equal his performance, this remake is just a load of ballicks being done to make money like all fuckin Hollywood remakes. Jesus have you seen those trailers for the Taxi remake, someone should fuckin drop a nuke on Hollywood.

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has joined the cast of Pirates Of The Caribbean 2, according to MIRB.

Johnny Depp is said to have personally convinced Richards to come on board the sequel, who is thought to have been the inspiration behind Depp's portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow. Richards will play Sparrow's father in the upcoming sequels, which are to be shot simultaneously.

Acclaimed writer/director Mike Nichols ("Angels in America", "Primary Colors") has upset a large amount of males it seems in the last few days with word that Natalie Portman full-frontal nude scenes are being removed from his new film "Closer".

Portman, who plays a stripper in the film, apparently shot a scene that featured "raunchy shots of her fully nude" according to the IMDB & JoBlo - the problem is Nichols felt that the shots themselves were "gratuitous" and had them cut out of the final print.
