I didn't like the original film. This version is going to be exactly like the book. I saw some photos of the set - it looks very cool indeed.

Its not a remake, its a reTAKE... the first film took a good few liberties with the book (which didnt have songs in it, you'll be surprised to hear ) and the umpa-loompas were little brown pygmie men or something. so its gonna be tim burtons take on the book, not the first film.
