Borderline : cunts? (1 Viewer)

Do they own the building they're in? If not, I'd say the rent costs an arm and a leg, and I can't see a few sales a day covering that. Good that they've retained their couldn't give a fuck spirit though isn''t it? What with Temple Bar a big can of piss and all that. Have they retained the huge amount of bootleg casettes they used to stock? So many questions...

apparently derek's family own/owned a big chunk of temple bar, so probably...

My boyfriend worked there for a few years, and yes, I can confirm, they are a bunch of crunts. Wouldn't put him on the books, then he recommended one of our mates for a job and he got put on the books instead.

I also heard a nasty rumour that Derek did something really horrible on me once but I've never been able to confirm it.... PM me if you're really intrigued cause I'm not going to post it here, I bet you he's a litigious sonofa.

Still sell bootleg CDs.
Most of them are quite pricey but are fairly decent quality.

Vinyl section can be good. They had nice pressings of Talking Heads And The Name Of The Band Is Talking Heads double LP for €20.

About Borderline not stocking local bands. I remember they used to give the band all the money when they sold a CD or record. They didn't take a cut from our stuff at all. They gave us all the money. I remember when they stopped doing this because the record shop in the archway next to them wanted to specialise only in Irish and local music and it wasn't worth their whil to stoc stuff if it was available 30 seconds walk away. They don't own the building because I remember there was a big rent increase. That was years ago though.
