Bonnie "Prince" Billy sings Greatest Palace Music (1 Viewer)

yeah, he's taken all the 'edge' off the songs by using those session dudes, good musicians though they may be, there's definitely something lacking off the new versions.

I think it's amazing

I love the real sweet nashville arrangements and I think it's to his (and mark nevers) credit that they played it so straight. I guess that sounds has a pretty narrow auidience, but I love it. I've been listening to loads the past month and it just gets better and better.

so sorry dudes, but yis are all wrong

;)

from what ive heard of that record when Ive been hammered recently its total class. Those session guys he has are GREAT, all those tiny arpeggios they do at the ends of phrases the whole thing is gift. I suppose its for the George Jones fans out there, but when it comes down to it that sound is built for those types of songs, and those session guys are playing that stuff in their sleep at this stage. GO OUT AND BUY IT!!!!!!

Also go out and buy a ticket for the Rufus Wainright and his oul one and her sister. That could end up being the gig of your life.

Andy how'd your show go in Doyles? How was ATP?
