Lie Ins are a two-piece band, formed of the two members of Groom, Michael (acoustic guitar) and Kid Lovebeach (drums), playing songs in the style of Violent Femmes, Modern Lovers, Gino Washington, Chuck Berry, Herman Dune and Talking Heads. It's a bare-bones acoustic two piece playing infectious, smart pop. A Lie Ins show is an exciting mix of lively, energetic songs, humorous banter and eccentric costumes. Oh and, officially it's a three-piece, but F-Man, the shadowy figure that is the Lie Ins 'producer', prefers to stay in the background and doesn't play live.
"catchier than a folkies beard in a velcro factory, poppier than a popgun in a balloon and more fun than a barrel of drunken monkeys. It's a tonic for a jaded world." The Devil Has the Best Tuna blog
"after about 3 plays pretty much back to back I think "Love Is Hard ..." might be the best song of Mike's that I've heard. Lovely synth part towards the end of it. Reminds me of MBV." - Ian Wright, Thrill Pier/Cluas.com
"Lie Ins are the Irish Jonathan Richman. Great stuff, costumes were awesome... Upbeat and stripped down is the new lush and complicated." Allen Blighe, Spook of the 13th Lock/Ballroom of Romance
"Songs, songs songs. Mike just knocks them off one by one and they just come out right every time. Excellent." - Mumblin' Deaf Ro, Irish troubadour par excellence

The Walpurgis Family is the two piece chamber pop group comprised of Jeroen Saegeman (guitar, vocals, Belgium) and Wil McDermott (bass, keys, vocals, Ireland). Both members also play in the indie-pop band Groom. The Dublin based Family plays quiet songs about moving to other countries, the shower, the kitchen, public transportation and even about a mysterious island. They are about to release their first record, so catch them before they’re bigger than they are now!

Neassa is she of the band The Terribles. Here's what Road Records said about her recently released record: 'five beautifully mellow pieces of acoustic folk sounds from this irish based songwriter and onetime member of indie pop outfit the terribles. the ep features between aches, just in time for the giving and the toasting, rest and mend, wait until you pass and reason. the ep pretty much features just dohertys hushed vocal delivery and some lovely acoustic guitar picking. the atmosphere of the ep kind of reminds of something akin to a more mellow mazzy star meets cat power on an acoustic buzz'.
