2010 has been a shit year for gigs, for me. I've only managed to go to 2. A friend's band (who I don't like, but went to support my friend) and Paul McCartney in the RDS. Giveamanakick's farewell gig in Whelans last year was the last proper gig I went to, that I really enjoyed.

Have had tickets for a few gigs, but ended up not going to them for various reasons, such a friggin waste of money.

I seriously need to get to some gigs next year.

Many have already been mentioned. Two that really stick out for me amongst all the other great ones.

Owen Pallett in Whelans early in the year
Chilly Gonzales in Sugar Club in November.

Both absurdly talented, funny people.

For me, gig of the year was Converge in Whelans. They were unreal. Total surprise after their voodoo show.

I was at that Owen Pallet gig but have no recollection of it whatsoever.

I think hes gone a bit meh. The novelty of all his on-stage techno-trickery has worn off.
