SnubTV Compilation
~2 hours 40 minutes
Original broadcast 1988-99, BBC2
VHS Mono -> DVD -> xVid
Audio: 128kbps CBR MP3
Video: 480 x 360 PAL xVid @ various bitrates
Snub TV was a BBC Manchester programme designed to cover the "indie" music scene of the late '80s.
Also covered the beginnings of the dance and Madchester scene, featuring the first TV appearances of Happy Mondays and Stone Roses
A mix of interviews, specially-commissioned films (they preferred to originate their own video rather than use commercial promos), live performances, and promos
This compilation is split into smallish chunks, primarily because it doesn't feature complete episodes of the series.
Plenty of rare performances from known bands, and perhaps the only visual record of bands most have forgotten or didn't even know about.
There was a VHS compilation of Snub footage released in early 1990 but this is long-since deleted. These caps are from my tapes of original broadcast material
