Firmly rooted in south dublin the autoban have been huggin and kissin on dublins music scene for the past 12 months. A year of writin and love-hate relationships has seen the band amass a fantabulous batch of dirty dancin style anthems.
a love of all things rock n roll and an unhealthy infatuation with pure pop genius that is girls aloud and sugababes has helped create a sound that might just see the band out their music to an ever widening audience.

In the world of the robot mind it's hard to maintain a sense of character and originality. But it's ok for help is at hand...
...ilya K not only breathe honesty into their music but sustain a quality of innovation and integrity that will help us erase the robots and be where we want to be! ilya K's live shows stand testimony to this as the band inject an energy and passion into each performance that is rarely seen on any stage today.
Since forming in late 2004, ilya K have been going from strength to strength. Their self released debut single Blackout/ic()e received excellent reviews along with extensive airplay on the radio and the web.
Already in 2006 they've had tracks released on 2 indie compilations. Irish indie label Sofa Records (www.sofarecords.ie) - Music for People with Long Ears 2006 and English indie label Sublingual Records (www.myspace.com/sublingualrecords) - Sublingual Vol 3 They've been gigging extensively around Ireland this year and with their debut album being recorded this summer, ilya K look well on their way to making their mark...

Groom
All This Happened, More Or Less, is the new album by Dublin band GROOM, and is out now on Fairview House Records. Recorded by Nicky Coghlan and GROOM in Dhulaigh studios, it is packed full of indie keyboard/guitar rock gems. All songs were written by singer/guitarist Michael Stevens (previously of SETTLER), and feature his own particular brand of nerdy observational sci-fi country songs, spanning a variety of themes, such as time travel, technology, religion, polar bears, death, sadness, evolution and, most of all, love. Taking its title from the first line in Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five, All This Happened, More Or Less is GROOM’s curious take on indie pop and rock: a piece of storytelling that blithely jumps from ponderous sincerity to freewheeling whimsy; from sullen inquietude to gleeful satire. The musical palette is wide, owing as much to sharp-witted countrytronica of The Magnetic Fields and pop of The Postal Service as it does to the more familiar guitar-based rock of Wilco and Pavement. A departure from GROOM's ragged electronic-roots debut album and subsequent EP, All This Happened, More Or Less is definitely GROOM’s rock album, featuring lively performances from drummer Brian O’Higgins, bassist/keyboardist Wil McDermott (previously of SETTLER), and electronic wiz Liam Dunne (also of LMD64 and ASCIINOID). Recorded live (more or less), the album grumbles, sparkles and pops along like an old car that just won't give up the ghost. There are also contributions from Ian Lawton of indie pop band Omelette (he also designed the cover), the irrepressible Thomas Dunning and songwriter Mumblin’ Deaf Ro. A guest vocalist, the sublime Valerie Hely, also takes lead duties on one song.
