In my experience Aussies are extremely upfront as individuals. I think it's a good trait.

People think they are racist because they're just not bothered with political correctness. In practice they tend to be very accepting etc. They have to be; they are from everywhere. Walk through one of the major australian cities and you'll see an equal balance of different colours/races/whatever you want to call it.
