Looking forward to this - heading to the NCH on the Friday and Sunday night. I don't know that much of his stuff outside Tabula Rasa and a few others. What's his choral stuff like?

See if you can get your hands on Estonian Philharmonic Choir's recording of Lamentate.

This should be deadly.Pity theres no Te Deum or Miserere,but Im really looking forward to hearing Spiegel im Spiegel, Für Alina,Tabula Rasa,and (especially) Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten

i'm in the friday night performance, i hope he doesn't start throwing things at us if we fuck up the credo.

er, not that we will, of course.

i must get tickets for the sunday concerts, they sound top.
 
I adore Fratres. It's stunning. Especially for violin / piano version. I must make it along to one of these here nights.
 
Listened to some of this last night live from the concert hall on Lyric FM.

I have to say, despite not knowing a bean about most classical music, I have to love their breadth of knowledge and enthusiam for the music.
 
did anyone go to trinity yesterday. Thought it was absolutely amazing!!!!.|..|
went to the talk in the national gallery in the morning, it was really interesting.
 
I felt the Agnus Dei of Berliner Messe was exceptionally moving.

It felt like a religious experience. ;-)
