A 30+-year devotee of the so-called "American Primitive" school of acoustic steel string guitarists, Glenn Jones has been playing guitar since the age of 14. He formed Boston pysch-rock band, Cul de Sac, in 1989 and led it on its 20 year journey to nowhere, leaving nine albums in its wake, including collaborations with guitarist John Fahey and Can's Damo Suzuki....

Jones has been at the point of the spear of acoustic folk guitar innovation for over three decades as a player of staggering ability & invention who has toured & performed with, among many others, John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Jack Rose, Steffen Basho-Junghans, James Blackshaw, & Peter Walker. Blending the old world with the new and often accompanied by transformative results for the listener, Glenn has released five albums on The Strange Attractors & Thrill Jockey Labels with a sixth recorded outing scheduled for the 18th March on Thrill Jockey. ‘Feeling’ has already been hailed as a meditative tour de force performed a wordless, master storyteller.
Jones has written extensively about the leading lights of the American Primitive guitar style, namely John Fahey (with whom he was friends for nearly 25 years), and Robbie Basho (Jones was friends with the guitarist until Basho's untimely death in 1986, and hosted the guitarist / singer's final tour of the East Coast).

Besides performing with both artists, Jones has written liner notes for five Fahey albums to date, and produced Fahey's posthumously issued 1968 live album, The Great Santa Barbara Oil Slick (Water) as well as a 1980 live recording by Robbie Basho, Bonn Ist Supreme (Bo' Weavil) and the issue of demo recordings for Basho's last solo guitar album, Twilight Peaks. Jones also produced a five-CD box-set of John Fahey's earliest recordings, Your Past Comes Back to Haunt You (2011; Dust-to-Digital), which Jones worked on for 11 years. The album received rave reviews.

Landless
Landless melt hearts and minds via the unaccompanied singing of traditional songs in four-part harmony. Formed in 2013 in Dublin by way of Belfast, Lily Power, Meabh Meir, Ruth Clinton and Sinead Lynch are a joy to behold live and destined to become pivotal voices in the preservation and evolution of the Irish tradition.

Rue
Rue are Brian Flanagan with Cormac MacDiarmada and Radie Peat who both play with Dublin folk visionaries Lynched. They present a truly eclectic mix of traditional songs and tunes from both sides of the Atlantic played with immutable conviction. Expect whaling songs and murder ballads underpinned by a wash of harmonic swells and drones and a barn-dance or two thrown in for good measure.
