To launch Wingnut Records at Musicmaker, 29 Exchequer St, Dublin 2 we'll be having a gig comprising of acts closely associated with Musicmaker and Wingnut on Record Store Day. Mostly independent Irish releases are now available in store but we are expanding that to more international releases in the near future.

All the relevant info can be found on the Event page and if you're still not arsed with FB, there's a bit of info below:

No Spill Blood have quickly risen through the ranks of ones to watch in this country. After a live video released in February 2012, the band were quickly signed to label of the moment, Sargent House and subsequently released one of the best releases of 2012 in the form of the 6 bangers that make up Street Meat.

Matt Hedigan (Elk, Hands Up Who Wants To Die) fronts this project with ferocious bass and vocals that would put the shits up Lemmy. Lar Kaye (Adebisi Shank, Tvvins) abandons the guitar in favour of baytin' the absolute jaysis out of the drums while Ruadhan O'Meara (Magic Pockets) adds even more heft from behind a cockpit of the dirtiest synths you'll ever hear.

No Spill Blood have been busy recording their first album which will be released soon and if their debut effort is anything to go by, expect many layers of disgusting, beautiful heft. If for some reason you don't know this band, it's loud, filthy and relentlessy catchy which can result in annoyingly humming riffs over and over for days afterwards. Seeing them play in the intimate surroundings of BelloBar may become a thing of the past so this is one you cannot miss!

Bitch Falcon are relative newcomers and will be one of the next acts released on Wingnut Records. Riff based, heavy rock for fans of Hendrix, Jack White and Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs.

The River Fane return to the stage after a long break writing material for their next release and this will be the first gig with new drummer, Oisin Trench (Enemies). Historically, this band have crafted delicate, considered tunes that are hypnotic yet enthralling. It's been a while since anyone has seen them, so no one knows what to expect but whatever happens, it'll be fucking amazing. Check out their previous offerings on Bandcamp.
