THE #1s: Vintage Power Punk Pop from members of Crowd Control, Loose Nut & The Pacifics. Mariah Carey also named an album after them. The #1s are a different beast, specialising in a more lo-fi garage sound. The guitarists share vocals throughout, beginning with all one and a half minutes of 3:16. It’s infectious indie from the offset, the energy never relenting for the duration of a fine set. He’s Too Good For Everyone Else But He’s Not Good Enough For You is a snappy blast of Buzzcocks thrash.

CRYBOYS: Cryboys are a new band featuring Dylan Phillips (Dinah Brand, Pet Lamb), Cian Nugent, David Kitt and Ruan van Vliet (Squarehead, Groom, Lie Ins, Tieranniesaur, etc.) who play and sing anachronistic songs for sad uncles, public transport and the pissy drizzle.
