One of the first introductions I had into reasonably decent music was an 'Acid Rock' "Special" on Radio 2 around 1987, a saturday evening if I remember correctly. They played Cream, Jimi Hendrix and the Incredible String Band amongst others. It was the first place I ever heard 2000 Light years From Home by the Stones, probably the one song that I still think is amazing - I think I have the Maxell C90 still stored away somewhere. Unfortunately, the chaps in this video were somewhat neglected. What a tragedy.
