where do i upload animated gifs for the site, to whom and how big should they be?

you might have to be a bit more specific... what are the animated gifs for? is it an avatar you're talking about? in which case... subscribers can upload a gif avatar of up to I dunno, 64kb if I remember coreectly. a good bit less for non subscribers.

or do you mean for banner ads? in whch case... I think you definitely have to be a subscriber. or a supporter. check the "subscribers" link above.
