all externally-hosted images are cached locally because otherwise they'd break HTTPS and wouldn't be displayed (because your browser would refuse to load an unencrypted HTTP resource into your HTTPS session) and also for performance (I can cache them) and also because it's not considered nice internet manners to hotlink images and use someone else's bandwidth.

I can right click any image and open in new tab and it loads it fine via the proxy.php script

also..why does Thumped not allow you to right click to open in a new window? Everything comes up as 'proxy.png'
