Australian brother and sister duo who released their EP, Heart Full of Wine, in February 2007. Julia also provided backing vocals for the track "Battleships" on Travis's 2007 album, The Boy With No Name.
“There’s an understated depth to their acoustic talents which hints at greater things to come” UNCUT
“The songs - simple but blindingly effective acoustic compositions, warm boy-girl harmonies, less-is-more arrangements. Resistance is futile.” Music Week

The brother / sister duo, accompanied by their long-term cohort Mitchell on drums, recently co-headlined the Longing For Latitude Tour, following this up with a sold out show at Camden's Barfly last week and an appearance at Wireless Festival over the weekend.
Along with their other London festival appearance at Hyde Park Calling, they've lined up the following UK dates throughout the summer:
Angus and Julia release their new single Private Lawns on July 9th on Independiente. A cheeky, wide-eyed appraisal of urban living, it is graced with a dusty trumpet solo from multi-instrumentalist Julia, and is the first single release to feature Julia on lead vocal.
Private Lawns has been chosen by Radio 2's Radcliffe and Maconie as their 'record of the week' and the duo have sessions lined up with both 6music and Radio 2. Meanwhile their latest video - scripted and directed by the band - for their song What You Wanted has clocked up an astonishing 16,000 plays in the space of just two weeks on their myspace site - www.myspace.com/angusandjuliastone
PRIVATE LAWNS: “Their finest track, its cheeky toe-tapping rhythm impossible to resist” – Evening
