Dublin Community Television (DCTV) in partnership with First Music Contact (FMC) have been funded by the Broadcasting Authority Of Ireland (BAI) to make a television series exploring Independent Music in Ireland and the different layers that make up this essential and fruitful community. The series will look at the labels , bands , collectives, promoters , bloggers and YOU!
This project is in 4 phases which are the 6 minutes of ...Independents shorts , a documentary and panel discussions ending in an on-going volunteer based music programme on DCTV !
We have picked six stories from the forty four stories that where submitted and we will be recording a live performance with these acts/bands at the gig we are doing on September 6th .
The artist/bands below have been picked from a panel of people involved in Independent Music including Angela Dorgan (FMC) , Niall Byrne (Nialler 9 Blog) , Michael Roe (Richter Collective) and overseen by Barry Lennon, the Producer and creator of this project.
