My flatmate told me about this a few days ago, saying an Indian bloke made some really modern sounding acid house back in 1982. I was mildly curious to hear it, expecting something of historical significance but maybe not too exciting compared to more modern stuff. Have a listen. It's blown me away.

When I first heard it, I thought oh grand, it's an elaborate hoax. Great music and really clever hoax, probably Aphex or something. A little bit of research suggests that this is the real deal.

Just listening to it in its entirety now. I'll give it a few listens before deciding on how it holds up as an album, but individually some of the tunes are amazing. And nineteen eighty fucking two. Could easily pass for something from the last few years.

i've listened to this lp a good few times since last Tuesday. Its great.
