yea, .. as with any effect it depends on what measure and towards what end .... suppose when used with abandon reverb does sound terrible on acoustic instruments but i think that generally they need some , depending on where and how it has been recorded..... again i prefer the layering...

attention the attenuation on that account ... one idea is to pre-process your sound by eq-ing until the s-type sounds are diminished and then apply a reverb... either layer under the original sound or take the :p far out reverb blur .... am a bit of a shoe-gazer though :eek:
