What movie did you watch last night?

Just watched 'the book of eli', wanted some easy hokum to watch. Enjoyed it more than I expected, despite (or because of?) the naked religious element. The soundtrack helped, I must look it up in the morning. Done by a chap who is or has been in NIN.

Not worth it I can make the adjustment with my attitude and my body for what I have to do It's more like I feel I spent decades finding my joy in biking and I'm after giving over that to a system I don't love. Like I haven't kept my own counsel strongly enough. Excuse the solipsistic angst. I...

    European and local elections 2024

Herman Kelly was out on the road in galway with 'housing something something' banners at a big junction - people were blowing their horns. People don't know much about Herman Kelly but there's a few threads on reddit that are hopping with bright red flags. Glib one liners are doing well again...

What television series are you currently making your way through?

The Responder was very good indeed. Town Centre Casey and Josh were so brilliantly portrayed. So exasperating and so vulnerable. Great series.

    European and local elections 2024

I saw a man putting up election posters earlier. He had a beard and was wearing a green Ireland shirt and a flat cap. Pretty sure I can guess his politics. It's become as much an indicator as blue hair and facial piercings has on student activists.

I seriously doubt so, without further expensive outlay; the shifters on the bike he bought would have been designed for drop bars, so as well as new bars, you'd need brake levers and shifters too. One of the reasons cyclists are so 'conformist' is down partly to marketing but also down to...
