I dont know if this is the place for this,but is it just me or is the world getting a bit depressing?

What with all the wars and the fuckin' recession and everybody worrying about where their spondulicks are gonna come from and Road closing and Ron Asheton,Paddy McGoohan and Rick Montalban croakin'.
What with the seeming inevitability that the Thumped Server is gonna be at the epicentre of the next Three Mile Island style "incident" cos everyone won't stop hitting refresh/new posts every 12 seconds.
And to cap it all off I'm fucking SECURIGAZ©, not David Bowie.

the world can depressing at times, (and that Road thing is awfully sad) but i think it just being january has alot to do with it. i cried heaps last january - it was just a huge downer - no money, dark mornings, nights, etc - but then feb kicked in and things began to look up. i know i wasnt the only one, must be some kind of seasonal thing.

(i've found this jan hasnt been that bad at all - im still looking fw to the next month though)

You could open an animal shelter? I mean, it wouldn't pay, but you would have needy animals for company, which are WAY better than money. And we could all take up a collection to make sure you had enough pet food for them and nice tea (and cakes) for you.
