In fairness Stanhope is a different sort of comedian but like Hicks you gotta watch an entire show to properly get the point. I also think he is a much funnier & smarter comedian than Hicks apart from the last tour which was mostly bollocks.

i don't think tommy tiernan is funny.
Des bishop is allright. I think he's good at the documentaries and stuff. Rather than being a comedian like.
jason byrne shows are great. I've been to a few. yeah, he's loud and explosive. but its great craic when youre there live.

i just think he comes across as less likeable but with the same preachery kind of thing and more crass, not funnier though. different kind of funny.
