I'm never without a bottle of Midleton in the house.

It's a blended whiskey, and it's a bit pricey, but there's nothing on earth like it as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers for the recs and old thread link, i've a cash and carry card for Marcro in Belfast who've a brill selection should the recommendations be far reaching.

I buy my beers up there too and the selection by the case I doubt can be bettered anywhere on the island.

I'd disagree with all of the above. Not that the Jameson or Glenmorangie aren't drinkable, they're just bland.

Laphroaig is great stuff. Lagavulin better again.

Ah Laphroaig is grand as a wee dram but a whole bottle is very fuckin daunting. I gave my uncle a generous measure of it the other night and it took him over three hours to drink it.
