Too pricey for me, and it'd want to have an MRL tape and be in P.W.O. for me to even think about it.
I'd get NJM in Harold's Cross to take a look at it before you buy - it'll cost you €50, but they'll be able to tell you exactly what kinda shape its in.

yeah i know those guys - theres a place in the UK that sells them - repaired and in working order somewhere in sussex or surrey must google just a pain getting them over.. i agree thinking 500 is a bit much

You should check out gear on line. Bought an 8-track from them, very cool folks, highly recommended.
Important : Don't forget to factor in the cost of an MRL tape if there isn't one included.
