The Infirmary Bar is located on Little Hanover street which is between the Mardyke complex and the Kino cinema.

Melting Pot gigs/promotions will be running a series of Thursday nights in there from June 12th.

Gigs will run from 9pm to 11.30pm and entry will be €5

Oft described as reckless, irresponsible and brilliant, Gorbachov are a five-piece guitar rock outfit from Waterford.

The band have been together for four years, performing across Ireland and the UK, supporting bands such as The Frames and The Blizzards. They have just begun recording their debut album in the UK.

To date they have released a number of singles and downloads including Mr. Fahrenheit which has been featured on XFM in the UK.

Gorbachov are Brendan Feeney on vocals; Brian Casey on guitars and vocals; Ian Fleming on lead guitar; Bobby Comerford on bass and Alan Hennessy on drums.

Sounds of the Revolution

Sounds of the Revolution are a three piece band from the city of Cork. They mostly play a blend of catchy indie, blues and rock 'n'roll inspired music. The term 'Pop and Roll' needed to be invented to describe the attractive, original sounding noise that emanates from these guys in full flight. Their strength is their memorable songs which shoot from the hip and are aimed at your heart. Add this to some of the most creative guitar playing around and a drummer that always knows what time it is and you are presented with a threesome that you will want to tell your friends about.With a nucleus of three members each player succeeds in making their performance stand out ensuring that the end result is undoubtedly greater than the sum of the parts.Who would believe that they've only been together for one year?
