Tower Records have Cashier No.9, Squarehead, Enemies and The Kanyu Tree doing instores

There's a special Record Store Day POGO at the Twisted Pepper, with record sales & a vinyl swapshop.

Have Freebird done it other years? I've never been able to make it into town on the actual day. That's kind of it for record shops in Dublin these days, isn't it (Apart from Into the Void, of course)?

With RSD releases now being sold by bands before the "event" and releases being available to advance order from HMV,what's the point of it?

I thought a lot of the releases were kinda pricey.

I haven't a clue,just speculating.Although I thought these releases were especially for record store day in which case the point stands no?

well yeah,I thought it was to help independent record shops to survive. So bands selling the records before the date and major chain store's selling them was kinda missing the point.


Maybe I got it all wrong. I'm kinda not into the idea in general,everyday should be record store day if you like records.

Got the villagers 7" and a beatles album I've been meaning to get for a year.
