Nice selection. The Wilson Pickett and Talking Heads are killers.
That Herbie Hancock record is great. Searing summer vibes - it came out in August 1976 which is kinda appropriate. Love the Canteloupe Island.

I KNEW you were going to comment on that haul!

The Exciting Wilson Pickett is a top ten record for me, but you can't really fault In the Midnight Hour. Have all the mono originals now.

Girls Aloud were quality pop. (kudos to xenomania) The saturdays, I only liked one song (Up) But I'm not exactly the target demographic.

A seriously impressive run of singles when played back-to-back. Lovely set with sleevenotes by Peter Robinson. My first Parcel Motel delivery.

They need to do one for The Saturdays as well.

The sleevenotes for that are fantastic, worth buying it for them alone. Plus they had a string of quite excellent b-sides. Been considering getting the albums box as well....

I think the Saturday have their moments alright but they're a lot ropier overall. I ended up at the Saturdays at Oxegen a few years back, saw the only moshpit that weekend there. Hilarious.
