Its worth considering just how many, and what type of posters youth defence have been using in this country for years though.

speaking of the posters; as one of the points of the posters seems to be 'look how disgusting abortion looks, therefore it must be bad', i would have thought one way for the pro-choice side to prick that bubble would be to have photos of brain surgery with the tagline that because it looks manky, it should also be banned.

Depends on whether you think hackivism is a legitimate endeavor or not I guess. I'm uncomfortable with the xenophobia in parts, "plastics paddys," c'mon. If you do this you need to not give them something like that to hang on to. If this story makes the news this afternoon it gives someone from Youth Defence a chance to go on the radio and to not address the substantive issues raised re their funding and ropey connections to far-right organisations in Europe and they can just harp on about discrimination and hatred of the diaspora. There's doing this sort of thing right and there's doing it wrong, and doing it right involves being damn near unimpeachable in your message while you're illegally hacking someone's website.

I'm really not comfortable with email lists, membership files of any NGO being aired without consent, even if that NGO has aims I fervently disagree with. It's really hard for me to put my finger on why but it relates, I suspect, to the importance of the anonymous ballot in a free, democratic society, and I suppose freedom of association.
