Restaurants that do stupid gimmicky stuff with food

Out for dinner last week, the wife got scallops for her starter, served in curry sauce with a dollop of beetroot icecream.

i got duck for my main, along with a dollop of peanut butter ice cream....

8 is standard for me now, it used to be about twice that amount but 8 has me comfortable these days.

Still next time I'm in Dublin I'll go back to my party pack of a bottle of Bucky, a bottle of Jameson, 6 cans and a pack of Johnny Blue. I always think that'll last more than a single night, but it never does.
