big fish is a great shop for all things electronic and tecky stuff(cant remember where it is), camden has a couple of great sec hand stores ,some real gems to be found (record exchange is a cool one)

berwick street (off oxford st - near tottenham court tube, i think) has a few - sister ray is fab.

Couple in Notting hill - Rough Trade and some on the portobello road i can't remember the names of.

The exchange shops in Notting Hill are very good - The main one has a huge basement full of bargain crap. Just get to Notting hill station, they're across the road.

Camden has plenty too.

further down the same street is another AMAZING 2nd hand 1 with listening posts for all

again 1000 times cheaper then all the others in london

rough trade in nealy's yard and the one in west london are worth a visit too but if time is an issue then stay central and hit berwick st
