Liverpool's dismal display against wolves and all season has me pondering about Benitez, how much do you think he is responsible for the team's performance? has he made a lot of bad choices or is there sometimes nothing more a manager can do? looks like Juve want him now anyways (so they must be confident of his abilities?).

interested to hear opinions on managers in general as well as benitez.

In fairness to Rafa the whole club is being run like a fucking joke.

Moyes Royle and Kendall are our only real legend managers. Moyes and Royle really for keeping the ship afloat. I'm kind of spoilt in that way. Moyes has worked wonders and above all else is very frank and very honest. Probably because he gets on with the chairman and isn't worried about his job because of a string of bad results. Liverpool managers in general are doomed from day one, especially now that the men in suits are bafoons. In general if you want to know the ability of a manger there should be a maths formula something like average league position you from the bottom gets you ten points so you finish 8th you get 120 points minus 1 for every million you spend on players and plus one for every youth team graduate playing top flight football (though that's usually down to the whole club it's the first team manager that elevates them to first team football)
so lets say Man City finish 6th (+140) and spend 100 million on players (-100) and bring no players through the youth academy (+0) they finish on 20 points.

Actually this kind of only judges how well the club is being run. but I'm sure you could ad other criteria like you get 1 point for beating a team higher in the table than you. or plus 1 for every point you get against the "big four" or minus one for making a cock of yourself in interviews. Anyway looking at the table tonight the top four managers in the premier league would be Martin O Niell, Anciolotti, Wenger and Harry probably. Though n fairness Anciolotti did inheret the best squad in the premiership.

its hillarious watching people praise Fergie so much the fucking club are €800 million in debt or something. That's probably enough to buy all the clubs outside the top six in the premier league it's a joke.
