+1 on Groom

I've also found myself listening to Marina and the Diamonds a lot, and the first in Joanna Newsom's set. Best new kids album of the year is this (IMHO)

Field Music/Measure was the best album for me this year. Joanna Newsome also great. GPO, Dinah Brand, Boa Morte, as well as Walpurgis Family all beeped my jeep. Yeh Deadlies' The Dead Living EP was great, though strictly not an album. Hipster Youth and Porn on Vinyl: virtuous. Adebisi Shank's album was pretty special. STRANDS. Yeah, great year for Irish bands.

Flying lotus- cosmogramma
Scuba- triangulation
Mount kimbie- crooks and lovers
Caribou- swim
Shackleton- fabric 55

Winner - Adebisi Shank's 2nd. Love this fuckin band.

The Black Angels - Phosphene Dream
Strands - Strands
Dinah Brand - I Can Walk Through
Big Boi - Sir Luscious Left Foot
Dum Dum Girls - I Will Be
MGMT - Congratulations (surprised by this one)
Beach House - Teen Dream
Oneohtrix Point Never - Returnal
Solar Bears - She Was Coloured In

I need to check out the Groom and GPO albums.

Emeralds - What Happened
Ariel Pink - Before Today
Swans - My Father can't be bothered typing their incredibly long album title
Torche - Songs for Singles
The Redneck Manifesto - Friendship

The Fall - Your Future, Our Clutter
Autechre - Oversteps
Dead Fader - Corrupt My Examiner
Mark McGuire - Tidings/Amethyst Waves

Some great stuff released this year, honourable mentions for Adebisi Shank, Rangda and Harvey Milk also

Er, that should have been "Does it Look Like I'm Here?", but I suppose What Happened got rereleased this year, and is still deadly, so it counts as well...
