Actually not such a bad list once you take Muse out of the top 10. A bit puzzled by Marvin Gaye's 'I Heard It Through the Grapevine'. Surely his version is the standard. Of course he didn't write it but you could include practically any Motown or ghost-written hit by that logic. Same with the Righteous Brothers. Or am I mistaken?

Without googling I think Heard it through the Grapevine was released a few years earlier by someone, Gladys Knight maybe?
