Could some people who were there last year give me some idea how the food is priced? i.e. do the prices have a 10e festival addon or is it relatively fairly priced? ...wondering how much cash I should take, because it's guaranteed it will all be spent no matter how much or little you take...

Grub was pricey but tasty last year. I've had it up to here with campsite cooking, cold beans, raw sausages etc so I'm treating myself to a 20quid a day food allowance this year which will undoubtedly be squandered on booze.

Average main course was around 8-10 euro. Found the best cooked chicken stand last year - it also turned up at Midlands this year. Can't remember it's name but a half chicken was 8 quid and by Jesus was it tasty. Loads of healthy stuff too, and it's manned by real polite Glastonbury types. Teach Balti are there too this year. If it wasn't for their grub I wouldn't have made it out of Garden Party and Hi:Fi alive. 9 quid a main course, but better than most Indian takeaways in this burger munching nation.

So, er, yeah, Bring about 80 quid and a big bunch of bananas with you and your food needs are sorted. Bring a couple of hundred in total though...

Is it worth my while driving down on Saturday to try and sneak in? Never snuck into a festie before, but it seemed like a place where such tactics might be possible to execute.
